Alexander Onik has over 15 years of experience spanning software engineering and architecture, technology strategy and management, and entrepreneurship. He is the Co-Founder and President of ScienceGL, which develops multi-dimensional data and information visualization components and solutions for science, medical, engineering and business analytics applications. The company has a substantial customer base worldwide including FEI Co., Laser Techniques LTD, the National Institute for Standards and Technology, Canada's National Research Council, Sound Metrics Corp., JPL/NASA, iRobot, Advanced Scientific Concepts, the University of Malay, University of Florida, MIT Laboratory for Financial Engineering and many others.
Onik also held technology leadership roles at Microsoft and VMware. Earlier in his career he worked as a consulting software architect and engineer at major technology and financial institutions, building mission-critical systems with a focus on distributed and parallel software architectures and technology platforms’ interoperability.
Onik holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, and a master's in Software Engineering. He also received his MBA as a Sloan Fellow from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
