"Data, Dollars, and Algorithms: The Computational Economy"
Thursday, January 19, 2017
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Harvard University Science Center, Hall B, 1 Oxford Street, Cambridge MA 02138
The symposium will explore how access to copious streams of data and powerful computing resources are transforming our understanding of economic activity—and how those same tools are changing the nature of the economy itself. This event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
The Harvard University Science Center is located at 1 Oxford Street, Cambridge MA 02138, just north of historic Harvard Yard and is bounded to the east by Oxford Street. To the west, across an oak-filled quadrangle, is the Harvard Law School. It is approximately a 5 minute walk from the Harvard Square T- stop (see Google map for details).
Metered parking in and around the Harvard campus is extremely limited. We recommend that students and visitors coming by car purchase parking permits for Harvard garages. The Everett Street and Oxford Street garages are closest to the SEAS campus. Note: Harvard Parking Permits must be purchased and printed in advance over arrival. More information can be found here.
